Ingredients:

  • 1 (2-3 pound) beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine or balsamic vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, red wine or balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Place the beef tenderloin in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring it is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  3. When ready to cook, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  4. Remove the beef tenderloin from the marinade and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Discard the marinade.
  5. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloin on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the beef for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, or cook to your desired level of doneness.
  7. Remove the tenderloin from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Serve your Marinated Beef Tenderloin with your favorite sides, and enjoy the tender, flavorful meat that’s perfect for any special occasion!
