The layers of buttery crescent rolls give it a flaky texture, while the sausage and cheese bring the ultimate comfort-food feel. Serve it warm, straight from the oven, with a side of fresh fruit or a drizzle of maple syrup for a truly satisfying start to your day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, depending on preference)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a bundt pan generously with nonstick cooking spray or butter.
  2. Cook Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. Make Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Bundt Cake:
    • Open one can of crescent rolls and unroll the dough, placing it in the bottom of the prepared bundt pan. Pinch seams together to form a single layer.
    • Add half of the cooked sausage, followed by half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
    • Pour half of the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese.
    • Repeat the layers with the second can of crescent rolls, remaining sausage, cheeses, and egg mixture. Ensure the top layer is evenly covered with the crescent dough.
  5. Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the egg mixture is fully set.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the bundt cake to cool for about 5 minutes in the pan. Carefully invert the bundt pan onto a serving plate. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Tips:

  • To make ahead, assemble the bundt cake the night before, cover it tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate. Bake it fresh in the morning.
  • Swap out the sausage for cooked bacon or diced ham to mix up the flavors!

Enjoy this hearty and flavorful dish that makes breakfast or brunch feel extra special.
