BACON-TURKEY SUBS

Ingredients:

  • 4 sub rolls

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Butter or olive oil for toasting

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Sub Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise and lightly butter or drizzle with olive oil. Place them on a baking sheet, cut side up, and toast in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, until golden and slightly crispy.
  2. Prepare the Spread: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey (if using) until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the Subs: Once the sub rolls are toasted, spread a generous layer of the mayo-mustard mixture on each half. Layer the turkey slices on the bottom halves of the rolls, followed by the crispy bacon slices.
